Rest in Peace, Anton Yelchin

I just learned of his death. His performance in Hearts in Atlantis was brilliant even though he was so young. I hadn't followed his career since but I'm deeply saddened that he died such a young and tragic death.

I didn't recognize him from the news reports today but then another poster mentioned his role in Hearts in Atlantis. He did a wonderful job in that movie. So sad.

I just rewatched Hearts in Atlantis, again noticing his enormous talent, but now trying to wrap my brain around that cute little boy being dead, and how ancient they made Hopkins' character, he's still alive and kicking.
(presumably on the kicking; haven't actually seen one.)

This is depressing, I think about this movie all the time lately. I recognized the name immediately. I had no idea it was a child's name because I've always recognized it, sorta like Ioan Gruffudd and Liam Aiken - youngish people who've been around my whole life! He's actually a little under 4 months younger than me so it felt weird seeing his age splashed across the screen.
