I knew that the Holocaust was obviously the worst crime in humanity and war crime genocide (god willing) will ever be seen but I did not know this part of the story and this film was pure Evil in the sense of the word. In the dictionary evil should have Nazi and holocaust put in with the word

shareOK, The Grey Zone says that no one is all good or all evil. It is a story about how people, all of them, the Germans included are in a situation not of their choosing.
Primo Levi came up with the term and used Musfelt (the Harvey Keitel character) as an example of someone who was basically evil, but did a good thing, thus putting him in one end of the Grey Zone. The SK were obviously at the other end, they did not want to be doing the bad things that they did, but had to in order to survive (there were hundreds who took the other option and refused to do the work).
