Austrailian movies to recommend?

I love movies about Australia, and it's history/people/geography.

Any movies you would recommend I view? Please don't say Crocodile Dundee either :P

I loved Ten Canoes. Very authentic and does well to illustrate the huge difference in our cultural mindsets.

Picnic at hanging rock is quite good

Animal Kingdom is a great crime movie. The Proposition is an even greater western movie.

I like 'Australia' very much (Kidman and Jackman). The other lead character was a boy, his performance was perfect in my opinion. The director did a great job.

"The Tracker". directed by Rolf de Heer who also did Ten Canoes. Brilliant film.
Peter Weir's "Picnic at Hanging Rock" ( his first film?) is both gorgeous to watch and mysterious.
More recently I'd also agree Animal Kingdom is excellent though not a particularly Australian story.
"The Castle" is a comedy that is centered on dry laconic Australian humour. It precisely captures the late 20th century Australian suburban culture.
If you are really keen search out "Wake In Fright". It was made in the late 60s or early 70s. It''s a scathing commentary on "blokey" omacho Australian outback culture and very confronting for its time. it was re-released recently.
