The Third Energy pass gate opened and they took the data disc back through to the mordern world again, because this was the future when they got brought back from the past, Dylan stayed to help his daughter Paula. BTW, ever played Dino Stalker, it continues from the end of DC2.

If you're a dinosaur fan yes, otherwise I'm not too sure. It's in the style of a first person arcade shooter, though its a lot longer, at least an hour, its pretty easy though but I like it.

Dino Stalker is definitely worth getting if you liked DC2. It continues the story and is a fun game in its own right. In fact, it's much more of a Dino Crisis 3 than the ACTUAL Dino Crisis 3 (despite the different type of gameplay, it "feels" a lot more like the same series).

Dylan opts to stay behind with Paula (his daughter) while he gives Regina the data disk which, after she goes through the gate, can use to fix everything that's screwed up, thus saving Dylan and Paula.

The game doesn't show what exactly happens, what Regina did or anything, because we never got a true sequel. But Regina did end up making it through and she succeeded in her mission to use the data disk for whatever (I forget exactly what, I need to play the game again, lol). Take note of how Dylan was talking to his future self not long before the game is over. How would that be possible if Regina didn't save him?

Dino Stalker was a PS2 light-gun first-person shooter game, which was a psuedo-sequel to Dino Crisis 2. Paula is in this game but Dylan and Regina are nowhere to be seen. The fact that she is in this game is more proof that Regina succeeded.

They still should've made a real sequel to show Regina's exploits, though I guess it wouldn't have had too many dino's in it since it would've been in stable future, perhaps. I don't know, but they could've made another game with Regina. Instead we got the abysmal Dino Crisis 3 which had *NOTHING* to do with either of the other DC games at all. Dino's in space? WTF is that?
