Did anyone notice...

The errors in geography in both this game and the original?

The maps in the game show countries as they are today (except for the USSR). However, according to RA, the Soviets were the aggressors of WWII, so logically, Europe should still have it's post-WWI shape.

So...

Actually, I like to point out "useless crap" because it's interesting and some people might be interested in the goofs present in this game...

Hay don’t hassle the guy, from a historic point of view he is totally right, Due to the soviets being the aggressors Europe would have a different/post WWII shape. Also he Germans copied the dreadnaught class ship from the British so why couldn’t the soviets done the same.... but having said that dreadnaughts never had long or short range missiles in there arsenal.

Well, I just assumed "dreadnought" was being used just as a name for a big capital ship, as those Soviet vessels certainly are.

I'm also a little surprised that the Allies allowed the Soviet Union to continue existing after the war. I'd have thought they'd have broken off all of the SSRs, and given them their maximum territory demands against Russia.

And of course, I'm not exactly sure how once could logistically prepare for an invasion of the United States. I always thought that, from a strictly academic viewpoint, such an invasion would be THE greatest military operation in human history.

The Dreadnought in the game might just as well be a modern version of the original design so different weaponry is irrelevant.
The Red Alert storyline is not historically correct, at least not after Einstein has gone back in time to erase Hitler. Einstein knew that he could not prevent a World War, just try to make someone else the tyrant to hopefully lower the casualties.

The reason why the Allies couldn't keep track of what the Soviets were doing was because they hid most of their operations underground for several decades.
It isn't specified when Red Alert 2 takes place, although you could guess from the age of Tanya(who is the only character besides Einstein who appears in both games)that it isn't such a long time interval between the two games.
But then again, the game has a big part of time-travelling in it, so Tanya could just have been brought forth from the previous game along with Einstein to help out in the new one.

Actually, I read that the effects of the chrono technology keeps Tanya and Einstein from aging...
