Can you guys install this in XP?

I can't get the setup to run under XP... It's giving me this stupid error message... Any of you got it to work? And how?

Hi there. If you're still having problems yeah, I can get it to work but a lot of my old games won't run on xp, such as F-16 Fighting Flacon and Quake 2. C&C Red Alert 2 worked fine although I wasn't expecting it too. If you have found out why certain programs don't work in xp, then it would be great if you could post the answer here

You need to install it with Administrator's rights or account.
There is no problems at all on Windows XP and 2000.

Quake II works fine too on my machine...

I had a hopefully similar problem (Setup.exe has experienced a problem and needs to shut down). I got around it by restarting the PC in safe mode (F8), installing RA2 there and then restarting the PC.

If it fails to install while in safe mode, try installing it again in normal mode - that should work

Can't remember the website I got it from but it sure saved my throwing my PC out the window now...!

I had problems installing it too , and this helped me :)
