obvioulsy not SF

I was born and raised in San Frnacisco and there is nothing rmotly about this film that has it set in SF. i assume it was shot it canada due to the abundance of canadian flags through out the film on building in the back ground and such but if it suposed to be SF why didnt they try harder! like the lake? the oly lake like that around SF is not that close! that disturbed me a little

I thought the exact same thing, even though I've never been to SF (I watched enough Full House growing up!), but if you look at the scene where Boxer is talking to Merrill Cale in her hotel room, she flashes her Police badge and it says Seattle. That kinda pissed me off, considering San Fran as a location was kinda pivotal to the release of Nicholas Jenks in the book, which I loved by the way. Hope this helped you out!

Spiders... the spiders... they want me to tap-dance. And I don't want to tap-dance!

I think that this is supposed to take place in the Seattle area. They make several references to the city. They probably did film it in Vancouver, CA- which is becoming increasingly popular due to lower costs.

I agree that it seemed to be set in Seattle, but I am one who thinks they should be true to the books which are set in San Fran.

That's very likely, considering the fact that it was a made-for-TV movie, probably really low-budget.

you are right, the movie is mostly shot in West Vancouver, HorseShoe Bay, DownTown Vancouver, Vancouer ChinaTown, Vancouver DownTown East Side, Vancouver Police department on Main street and Hasting street, Hotel of Vancouver on Georgia Street, and the lobby of Hotel of Vancouver, Robson Street, that's as much as I could remember the senses from the movie, I'm from Vancouver.

Do you happen to know where the camping and hot spring scene was filmed?
