One of Bret Hart's worst matches came out of this against Bob Backlund, and what was the big idea putting him in the mid-card?

I think people knew that LT's match with Bam Bam would be pushed to the Main Event. Wonder if wrestlers had resentment towards LT.

Pretty much okay show.

One of my fav Wrestlemanias.

*I bet for one dollar against a friend that UT would defeat King Kong Bundy. A good legend vs. future legend match.

Glad to see Bret get his revenge on Backlund, but I can somewhat understand why MichaelMovieLoft would say it's one of Hart's worst matched. (Piper would have the microphone to see whoever would say "I quit" so the it becomes more of a comic relief).

Knock it all you want but Lawrence Taylor put on a good show still vs. Bam Bam Bigelow. Icing on the cake with that shoulder tackle from the top rope.

Allied Powers vs. The Brothers Bleu was a good curtain jerk. It's too bad these guys did'nt last any longer, they really had potential in my opinion.

And the biggest highlight was Owen Hart winning his first title in the WWF. When he and Yokozuna defeated the Smoking Guns for the World Tag Team Championship!

I took another look at this event and now I gotta agree with ya'll that it was one of the worst. If not the worst then the most cornball.

The big highlights were the World Championship and World Tag Team Championship matches. I take back what I said bout the curtain jerk. But not about LT vs. Triple B cept' LT's corner-men promos was aweful(cept' Mongo's).

It was main evented by Lawrence Taylor, that tells you pretty much everything you need to know, and sort of nullifies the rest of the event.

God's finest creation!

It was an okay Wrestlemania in my book...not the best but not the worst either. Alot of people tend to exaggerate it and jump the bandwagon. Surprisingly LT/Bam Bam was a good match, but the Main Event should've been Diesel/HBK with LT/Bam Bam being the second-to-last match on the card. To me, the WWF Championship match should always be the last match on the card. The same thing with Wrestlemania VIII when they decided to bill it as a "Double Main Event" with the Savage/Flair title match coming in before the Hogan/Sid match, even though Hogan was not involved in the title picture at that years Wrestlemania. I would probably give it a 7/10. WWF nearly fell in 1995, but Vince and co did the best at what they could.

I also felt Shawn should have won the title here honestly. At this time though, at people did feel "WWF title match" is the main event...at WM at this time I never recall the heel winning the title. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 good guys won the title. 9.....what a mess that was, a heel sort of won, until Hogan...shrug, so I guess still at the end of the day, face. WM10-11..again, all faces won titles, it woulda been nice to see them break the mold, maybe had Pamela/Jenny Mc betray Big Daddy cool, Sid as well, and have a fued with Sid/Diesel.

Also, I did enjoy the LT/Bam Bam match honestly.
