I think it's bleedin excellent meself. It was the first pay-per-view I ever saw, my Dad bought me it when i was like 10 or 11 years old, maybe slightly younger (I'm almost 23 now) and it made a huge impression on me. I started collecting the cards avidly, and started going to a friends house to watch WWF (He had Sky).
But yeah, its ace, look at the size of the *beep* crowd, and then there's Bob Uecker's eternal fear of Jesse Venturas flexing of his bicep, Bob Ueckers eternal fear of Andre The Giants *beep* hands around his neck, Jesse Ventura giving the crowd a ruddy good muscle show on the podium, and it features people like Jake The Snake Roberts and Hulk Hogan back in the day. Then theres the "Oh my god, Hogan just helped Macho Man win the world title!" factor. You can't go wrong really. Oh. AND it was on a double video so the case was extra large :)

Not anymore do we have King of the Ring. King of the Ring ended several years ago.

They have the KOTR tournament on Smackdown now, I don't think it's the real one, or if they are bringing it back for pay per view. I thought they were qualifying matches at first, I guess not.

I'm kinda neutral on WM 4. There is tons of great action and backstage stuff, and intermissions and all that, but it's just way too long (some have been longer though), and most of the matches don't really have anything exciting happening in them.

Still interesting if you've never seen it before though. I just watched the dvd from my Anthology set about a month ago. There's so much content, that my cd stops or skips very often. It's just an ok show by me.

One of my favorites.

It is interesting to note that WCW/NWA tried to offer their own show on the same night as wrestlemania. So basically, fans had a choice, pay to watch Wrestlemania IV or watch Clash of the Champions on TBS, which had its own dynamic main event.

I remember renting this. It came on two videotapes, and had lots of "never before seen" footage like Craig DeGeorge conducting interviews. I remember one of those interviews was pretty funny, with DeGeorge going up to Bobby Heenan's hotel room to wonder what the package he got was. Heenan was always great at giving interviews.

I love the fact that they made Wrestlemania a World Title tournament. I think it was an inspired touch, and I pretty much want to see it happen again. I also love it for the fact that (even if he got involved) Hogan wasn't in the main event for the first time.

God's finest creation!

this was one of the first ppvs i saw. i think i was about 9 at the time. i loved it, savage was my favourite wrestler when i was little so obviously i enjoyed it a lot. but watching it now i think it's a bit average, there are some of the great wrestlers on there but none of them are really in great matches. i remember watching it at the time and really having no idea what was going to happen, if i saw it now it would be obvious but i really couldn't see savage getting past the one man gang. savage had 2 fights already and the gang had a 2nd round bye. he outweighed him by about 200 pounds, i couldn't see savage doing it and when he did i couldn't believe it, i was celebrating like mad. but if i saw it now it would be obvious savage was gonna win. i mean what kind of main event is the million dollar man vs the one man gang?!!!

so i would say as a wrestling event its a bit average. (no steamboat v savage rematch, bret hart in the battle royal, dynamite kid was ruined by this point) there's some ok/decent matches but nothing great. but as a memory and for the nostalgia factor it's right up there for me. i think you have to really have seen it at the time with no idea of what was going to happen
