Not mine. Stupid Charter!

reply

Charter *IS* stupid! I had that in college. They charge you an arm and a leg for crap, and you can't get a real person when you call them. I did have that channel for a while, but it was only with one of those promotional thingies. To keep it I would have had to offer up my first born (and who knows when I'll even have one)!

Yes. I am aware of that. When I was in college and had charter, (a while ago), I got the channel for a while. It was part of a promotional package that I got for 6 months, and I didn't want to pay the extra money for a tier that only had one channel that I wanted... which is why I said that I used to get that channel when I had Charter.

Strong Medicine is on 'W' on cable tv at 8:40 weekday mornings in Australia, i'm not sure if you get the same channels in America though. Hope this helped.

reply

no it is not on satellite or cable i love the show too

reply

Even if you were to buy the DVDs, you can only get season one. And it's pretty cheaper ($23.99 at Amazon now). For whatever reason, the other seasons are not available.

LRW used to be on DirecTV. I had it for a while and suddenly it was gone. I have since moved and now have Insight cable. It covers the triangle from Cincinnati to Lexington, KY on over to Louisville, KY. I don't know if it is in other areas or if this small area is the only coverage. It's part of the extended tier digital cable. Hope this helps some of you!

I almost cried when I saw it wasn't on anymore. I swear I love Strong Medicine and I loved watching it every night before bed on my TIVO. I felt so lost when they took it off Lifetime.

I got Season One not to long ago and sadly it just made me miss it more than fill the hole.

We have Charter, but our local Charter does not carry Lifetime Real Women. I am so upset about that. We get Lifetime & Lifetime Movie Network.

I did email them asking them to carry it. I thought maybe we just were not PAYING for it but did a search at our local cabel company website and it doesn't show up on the list of channels we get and we can get if we pay more.

Maybe they'll listen to me. About 2yrs ago they didn't even carry Lifetime Movie Network. I made a point to email them about few months and finally one day they did start to carry it.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

I didn't start watching the show either till around 2005. I was crushed to see it was canceled but lived for the reruns.

Hope they will come out on DVD & back on TV. I'm shocked no more seasons are out. Sad.

I came to the show late as well. After I fell in love with the show Joan Of Arcadia, and the actor who played such fine parts in both series, Chris Marquette. I only got to watch it the last couple of seasons. But I've seen quite a lot of it in repeats. Still, I have yet to see all the eps. Someone really needs to put it back in syndication. Or better yet, on DVD.

The problem with AT&T U-Verse is that if you have their DSL, they tell you that you have to give it up and go with their AT&T U-Verse Internet. Well, I've talked to a lot of people and all of them say that the U-Verse Internet is really slow (slower than the DSL), and so I refuse to switch over to U-Verse. Believe me, I was all set to switch because they have a bunch of channels that my current service (DirecTV) does not have, one of my local channels, and Lifetime Real Women being amongst them, and DirecTV has stated that they have no intention of carrying the local channel that I have been complaining to them about which is why I wanted to switch out in the first place.

Comcast doesn't carry LRW either, nor does DISH (which I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole because of how few channels they offer, and the fact that over the last fifteen or so years I have watched them drop more channels than any other cable/satellite provider in existence [I see commercials all the time with the channels in question running campaigns for viewers to flood Dish Network with phone calls in an attempt to prevent the loss of this or that channel], so why would I choose them for my satellite needs?) and I can't stand Comcast because of the way they treated me as a customer (who had their top level package), which is why I went to DirecTV.

Technically, I have no issues with DirecTV. They have good customer service for the most part, and I get almost all my channels (except the ones they refuse to carry), but they're very expensive which is why I contemplated switching to U-Verse who does have LRW. Unfortunately, because of the Internet issue (I do not want U-Verse Internet or phone which they try and claim is mandatory), I am stuck with no LRW and therefore no Strong Medicine, and I watched this show from the moment it aired to the moment it shut down. I still don't understand why it was cancelled. It was seriously one of the best shows on the air (and really, still is one of the best shows out there. Aside from Nurse Jackie, I've yet to see anything comparable to it).

Sorry for the mini-novel everyone.

Seems like most shows only go 6-7 seasons at max these days. For most, it's enough.
