If you think this is odd, you NEED to check out some films by Peter Greenaway.
NOTE: I'm not saying his movies are bad (I actually a big fan of his), just very odd.

There are odder movies out there but yeah, it gets really odd after the first hour. It was like the director was trying to be artsy and abstract with all the picture affects, but it didn't quite work.
