Sucked

I honestly cannot believe people loved this so much. I tried to sit down and watch it, just to see what all the hype was about. I swear, I stopped it after 15 minutes. The next day I brought myself to watch it to the end. Chappelle, in my mind, is definately NOT a comedy god, especially in this special. He talks so low at times you can barely hear him, he looks so timid and shy on stage. His jokes about a drug-selling baby popping out of a woman's vagina and white cops who just "spinkle some coke" on black criminals and Clinton's little trist didn't even make me crack a smile. I think his audience must have been drugged on something - standing up, jesus christ. I'm sorry, but I just do not get why people love Dave Chappelle so much.

okay...obviously you have no sense of humor because when I first saw this back in like 2000 I was laughing so hard It felt like my stomach was turning inside out, well maybe its just not funny to you, Like with me...alot of people find simpsons funny..but I've never laughed at it, maybe once or twice...

i kinda know what youre talking about. the only time i wasn't laughing was
the drugs baby part, it was kinda childish
but after that i laughed my ass of

i think it was because the chappelle show blew up so fast
and after that you were looking
for one of his stand up comedy's and felt a little bit dissapointed

but he still is funny though

I saw this when it first came out and pissed myself. I watched it again earlier today and I still pissed myself. You don't find Chappelle funny, big *beep* deal. I don't think George Lopez is funny, think anyone gives a flying *beep*

reply

I guess the funniest moment for me was when he told the audience about having talks with his wife:

Dave's wife: "David, we need to talk."
(pause)
Dave: *beep* (s word bleeped out)
Dave's wife: "David, don't start talking to me in that voice, this is serious."
Dave: "no, see, mm-hmm, yeah, mm-hmm, yeah, see"

That kinda made me smile.

before people start ragging other peoples sense of humor lets just agree to disagree. It isn't a law to dislike or like dave chappelle or his stand-up material. don't waste time trying to convince others to switch sides or question their funny bone or intelligence if they don't.

live and let live.

This was the funniest stand up since eddie, easily

Listen, if you don't find him funny, then it you don't fit the demographic. Meaning you have no sense of humor.

"Listen, strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for system of government."

Dave is a great comedian, I liked this one much more than For What Its Worth.

I need to think of a really kick @$$ signature, any ideas?

reply

You obviously watched more than 15 minutes, since you're making references to bits scattered all through the hour long special, including even, the drug-selling baby sneaking into the club which, if I remember correctly, is the last joke in the special.

So... explain that.

I just want my kids back!

Actually, if you read the very next sentence, he said the next day he brought himself to finish watching it.

That being said, I love both of Chappelle's stand-up specials, but you're entitled to your opinion, although I respectfully disagree with it.

"Believe me. I tied my own shoes once. It is an overrated experience."
