Tim Burton's Alice in Wonder land
Will it keep ALice from getting made into a movie?
shareyep
Sweetie, get mommy's bazooka!
That really sucks!
shareprobably so, I mean they've been trying to make an Alice movie for yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaars and now Tim Burton has beaten them to the punch
of course there's supposedly going to be a sequel coming out soon, but I'll believe that when I see it
I can't imagine though that if the Alice movie ever does get made (which is a snowball's chance in hell) it'd be anything but DTV
back in 98 I did a titty comedy for Skinemax. Sex Camp, ya remember it?
There have been loads of "Alice in Wonderland" films over the years, so I would say: no.
Assuming American Magee's Alice doesn't get lost to the anals of time, some clever directer will come along and do something with it. Especially if Burton's work sparks an 'Alice craze'.
The books "The Looking Glass Wars" just came out over the past few years, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone took an interest in those as well. I mean lets face it, Hatter Maddigan kicks a$$.
Bottom line: Tim Burton doing Alice in Wonderland was totally cliche. I wanna see someone like Terry Gilliam or David Lynch take a crack at it. Better directors than Tim Burton already have anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Tim Burton; but he has not made the definitive Alice. He wasn't the first to do it, and he certainly won't be the last.
