Strange title? 100 stars? Only 50 in the list.

I really wonder why they have the number 100 in the title, when there are 50 people in it: 25 men and 25 women. It just seems odd!

It is indeed a rather strange title. But I think all the stars in this program had their debut from 1900-1950, and they plan a second program later on.

50 stars on the list + 50 stars being interviewed = 100 stars

They were counting the 50 "stars" who commented on the show in addition to the 50 legends on the lists but I do think a mere 25 stars per sex listed was way too low considering the hundreds of major names who became movie stars in the 1910-1950 era covered on the program. It should have at least been a top 40 per gender and then had just 20 contemporary people talking about them, we really didn't need 50 talking heads.
