BB 22 All-Stars - First Competition Was So Unfair!
I watched the premiere episode last night and every competition they did was so unfair.
The first competition had two groups of women and two groups of men face off.
Why were the houseguests separated into groups based on gender? That made absolutely no sense. Each houseguest was quarantined separately, so there was no need to then split them into four groups based on gender.
So the first competition was navigating a ball through a hand held maze. It's the kind of competition you see on Survivor a lot. I didn't like it. But what made it unfair was that the women had to navigate the ball to the farthest end of the board across a very difficult maze, while the men only had to navigate the ball to a slot very close to the top or to the middle of the board.
On survivor when they do competitions like this everyone starts at the same time and everyone has to navigate the ball to the same slot at the very end of the board. I have never seen half of the contestants in a competition like this complete a simplified version of the task. Furthermore, it was the women who had the harder task to complete. Why not just have everyone play at the same time of just have everyone do the same thing?
In the final part of the competition the contestants had to walk over platforms to the finish line. The catch was that some of the platforms were uneven. This part was very dangerous and the houseguests kept falling hard. Someone could have broken their leg! Seriously.
Memphis completed the obstacle first. He fell a lot and since he is big (not fat, just a tall, muscular man), each time he fell the uneven platforms kept wobbling for a long time. It took him over sixty seconds to complete the course and all of the uneven platforms were still wobbling when he was done. Then they just let Cody race out and charge through the course. While Cody was doing the course all of the uneven platforms that Memphis caused to wobble were still wobbling! This gave Cody an unfair advantage because he could see exactly where he was not supposed to step. It was just jaw dropping how unfair it was.
After Cody went they took a commercial break so all of the platforms could stop wobbling. When they returned, I noticed that when the lighter people fell, the uneven platforms stabilized much faster than when Memphis fell. So the next contestant did not have the same unfair advantage that Cody had.
Anyway, I hope that that I have written makes sense. I was just very disappointed in these competitions.
Furthermore, CBS said that the houseguests would not come into contact with production at all once they enter the house, but that can't be true. Production left the door to the Have Not room locked so they obviously will have to send someone from production into the house to unlock the door or give the houseguests a key. Either way, they will break containment because someone or something from an environment that has not been under quarantine will enter the house.
On a side note, I was bummed that Danielle Reyes was not on All-Stars this time. I hope she is doing alright.
