Remix?

My daughter is an avid Trigun fan. She is curious about the new "Trigun Remix" DVD sets. What exactly does the "Remix" mean? We know it said character profiles and textless openings but what else? Are there new features, is it remastered, uncut voice overs or what?

I do not believe that it is remastered. I think this new set just restores the original opening credits. Which in America we only saw the same opening credits at the beginning of every episode. The restored credits change at the beginning of every episode. They show characters that appear in that specific episode.

I have yet to purchase this new set, but that is some of what I read about it. I am sorry that I couldn't be more help to you.

She says around 7 years or so, ever since she saw it on Adult Swim. She was hoping to get the complete DVD set for Christmas, but the financial situation didn't allow for it. She is now rather glad, though since learning of the Remix with the original opening credits. We're hoping to get it for her later in the year.

Yes, the original credits are there at the start and the end. However, one annoying bit; while they give the voice actors for the roles in Japanese, they just lump all the English voice-actors together in one credit screen without identifying their roles.
