Why no activity for the movie.

I finally watched the movie. I was waiting for an english dub for it, typcially with world cinema I destain dubs, but because I watched Trigun way back when I was a teenager, I felt like I was going to miss the Vash voice that I had been attached to.

Now that I have seen the movie, I came here to see the opinions of the fans, participate in conversations only to find that theres like 4 whole comments.

I just find it really weird. Im not a huge fan of anime, but at the same time, i know that Trigun is a very special series that people respect - I would have thought the movie would provoke some activity.

Am I missing something?

I have not yet seen it; it has not been released where I live and I was waiting to be able to watch it in theatres.

I think you are right, Trigun is very respected, but at the same time, I am not sure whether it has such a fanbase as lets say CB or Code Geass; and the film came out really late as compared to the series, so I guess a lot of original fans migh not be around anymore.

Mind you, the FMA new film, which was released a few months after the series ended , also does not seem very popular and discussion sparkling...

That's what I was wondering. I went into the board for the movie and posted a comment - mine was the first comment posted in more than a year. :(

I liked it! Personally, I preferred more Vash and less of the guest character (and would have liked to have seen more Wolfwood), but in the end it was a very decent movie!

It was interesting seeing the differences in the artwork with this as opposed to the original series. It's been what, thirteen years since the show was first aired? I'm pretty sure this was made digitally, so the textures were better, especially on the background.

And wasn't that bar/saloon scene laugh out loud funny?

I too am childish and hate to lose.

I personally found the movie to be very disappointing. Amelia and Gasback werre kinda boring to watch and Vash was just plain annoying; No wonder they had to give him a break for 10 minutes through. In addition, I felt that the movie could've been something of a TV special instead of just a theatrical movie.

Me and my friend didn't really like it and preferred the TV series because we enjoy more action, thriller and a little suspense here and there... maybe even mixed! And because of Vash, there was no death scene or even an injury with one of the victims. And if it wasn't for Vash, the bar scene would've been more exciting and maybe throw in a couple food fights (I LOVE FOOD FIGHTS!)

Personally, I think Wolfwood is the only character I actually could stand for the movie because Meryl and Milly... eh I couldn't care less.

But yeah, back on topic. I don't have any ideas for a topic for the movie and was pysched there were no topics. Maybe the movie is still pumping up users so it could get more reviews and talking. Oh boy, this might take years!!

Anyone want a donut?
