Would I like this?

Hi!

Just wanted to ask, if this movie is as good as poolhall junkies and color of money. I liked both, will I be disappointed with this one? Is there a lot of pool playing sequences in stickmen? I mean like trickshots and other nice tricks.

I first saw this movie when I was living in New Zealand, and I loved it and still do. While this might not have as many "trick shots" as the other two, it still has it's share. It also has some great characters that feel like they could have been pulled out of the local pub. When I got back to the U.S. I eventually saw PHJ and thought it was pretty good, the first thing that I said about it was that it was sort of an american version of Stickmen... so my guess would be that you would like the movie. Give it a shot, it's only $6.99 at best buy these days

You have to weigh it up!

It doesn't have as many good shots as other movies, however if a pool fan, than it is an essential. Beats the colour of money any day (which they never should have done as a sequel to the hustler)

See it...it's a good pool movie

Well, if you've seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and enjoyed it then you'll probably like this. It's not as good, but still good enough to watch late at night to keep you awake.

I saw Stickmen last month and I have to buy it to put in my collection. This movie was great. Not a Hollywood film, thank God! That's why it looked so much better. I love well crafted indie films. It reminded me of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Which by the way was another great movie. Just like Layer Cake.

I definitely recommend this movie!

For sure. Even just to laugh at the dodgy Kiwi accents! Light hearted but plenty entertaining.

I had just returned from Wellington about 3 weeks before seeing this film, it made me think of some of the pubs I visited whilst there. The film will certainly appeal more to those with a Aussie/Kiwi cheeky sense of humour.
