Review, and Reservoir Dogs Reference (Spoilers)

Recently I finally have acquired a copy of this, and I found the movie to be lacking, despite the talents of Rosenbaum, Aycox, Baltz and Moreau in other projects, which was really disappointing after looking for it for more than a decade. While the acting was less than good, the dialogue between characters can be blamed on the poor script.

The opening is a bit unique in it's 24-esque showing of multiple scenes occuring simulataneously, which had me interested immediately, and held me until someone started talking. The acting through out the movie is reminscent of a daytime soap opera, where all the characters have consumed mind altering substances and are tripping out to flashy lights and loud, horrible music.

The death scenes are done horribly, with a hackiness only a level or two above 2006's horror gem Dark Fields, which I would sooner cut my own dick off then watch again. In the ending death scene even, when Aycox and Rosenbaum have been shot, Aycox complains she has lost her sight, and Rosenbaum seems to begin dryhumping her as he whispers over and over 'I'm right here.' It's a bit of the stretch but the rape scene at the end of K.I.D.Z. with Chloe Savigni was less offensive.

One major thing that caught my attention however, was the scene with Kirk Baltz and Michael Rosenbaum and Jamie Elman. Kirk gifts them with two items, a switchblade and a zippo. which was exactly what Michael Madsen/Mr Blonde used to mutilate Kirk (switchblade), and was about to set him on fire with.(zippo)

In closing, I've seen worse, so meh.
