This movie is the best!

This movie is the one Christmas movie that I remember watching when I was very little. I remember watching it and seeing all the OshKosh B'gosh ads as the commercials. Then, I never saw it for about 16 years, and then just a few years ago it was on tv again! I love it!

I couldn't agree with you more! This has always been my favorite Christmas movie. My only complaint is that they edited at least two of my favorite songs from the version released on VHS. I had an old copy that was recorded off of TV with all of the songs in place and I really wish Brian Henson could be persuaded to put all of it on video or DVD!

I remember this film from when I was a kid. My favorite part was when Statler and Waldorf (Those two sarcastic old men who always insult the other Muppets) were heckling Fozzie and his snowman friend, that part was hysterical. They should put it on DVD.

This movie is great! I saw it lat Christmas and my mom and I cried a bit when we saw Jim Henson in the kitchen. I cheered when the Sesame Street cast joined the Muppets.

I remember watching the original broadcast and then I believe I saw it maybe a year or two later and then I never saw it again until around 2000 or 2001.
I loved it and it's one of my favourite muppet adventures.

My parents taped this for me when I was probably 4 years old. I turned 20 this year and it is still a family tradition to watch it every year. And I insist on playing through the old commercials (We're play-skol dinosaurs, we're big and stong and tough!...) :) Then after the family watches it once, I usually end up watching it by myself at least two more times. I was so disapointed when I finally found it for sale and bought it, that some of the best stuff was cut out!

It was killing me that I couldn't remember the name of this movie. I had it taped when I was little and would watch it all the time. I am giddy just thinking about it. I have reverted back to being a kid and am a huge muppet fan again. I remember the commercials too. It was ridiculous. I remember the kitchen set that made frying sounds and the two boys playing with dinosaurs and one of them randomly screams out "Scared you didn't I!"
Sorry I was raise by my television.

This is my favourite Christmas special. I was 5 when it first came out in 1987 and so remember watching it from a very early age. I still watch it every Christmas and always always cry at the end with the Christmas medley. My absolute favourite character is the Swedish Chef.

I don't understand why the DVD is almost $70 CDN on Amazon when the movie is cut and not all that long to begin with.

I loved this special ... I loved all the cross-over aspects of it.

God, I wish they had updated this ... I mean, I liked the new special and everything (although why Brian & Disney have this new fetish of portraying druggie situations (Wizard of Oz, the new Xmas special...)I will never know), but I'd like to see another Family Christmas. Research the beginnings of Muppet holiday traditions by mentioning Refrigerator Day (Dinosaurs), reminisce from this special, get some Labyrinth and other Henson movie cameos, and bring in the new generation (Muppets Tonight characters) ... and you would have a perfect special.
