Elmo
Just watched this today (crappy edited version) and noticed that elmo had no lines. when did he become some popular anyway.
shareThe character became widely used after the Tickle Me Elmo toy made them a bazillion $. Look at his eyes in this one though. He knows he will one day own Christmas, and he's just biding his time.
shareThat's one thing I love about this film, I loved Elmo growing up and I had a talking Elmo doll, and as a kid I thought it was funny but today with him taking over all of Sesame Street when we all know BIG BIRD is the real star of that show, I like that this is before he had a speaking part!
shareGiving a serious answer, Elmo became big with the help of the Tickle Me Elmo. This special took place prior to Elmo being popular and back when he was originally puppeteered by Richard Hunt (Scooter, Don Music, Gladys the Cow etc).
