Jim Henson's cameo

Who was Jim Henson supposed to be when he was seen in the kitchen at the end? A housekeeper? He just seemed to randomly be there, lolz.

I also once asked what they ended up eating for dinner--which turned out to be shredded wheat and cranberry sauce. Whoopdedoo what a tasty dish. lolz! But a few posters on here screamed IT'S A KIDS MOVIE WHAT DOES IT MATTER. It's not a KIDS movie, it's a FAMILY movie, hence the title "Muppet FAMILY Christmas." I should've said that when I made that post.

It's just a feel-good cameo, I don't think he's supposed "be" anyone. I believe it's his last appearance too (though he performed in Muppets go to Walt Disney World), which makes this cameo all the more poignant.

Jim is supposed to be Jim... he's "Dad". As for Shredded Wheat and Cranberry Sauce... With the Carnivore Confusion thanks to the sentient Turkey and Big Bird, it was the only thing that Chef could think to make.

"Well, they certainly seem to be having a good time out there, Sprocket. Yep, I like it when they have a good time." I love Jim Henson's cameo here, and I agree -- he's just there for the heck of it, looking over his creations. Also, I always have to chuckle at that crazy suit of his!

Actually this is my all time mental image of Jim Henson...all his creations having a good time, and he's cleaning up after them. It reminds me of a moment in the Muppets Celebrate Jim henson when Robin remebers seeing Jim standing around watching the Muppets snd having a great time.

I find it more sad knowing that he would pass only a few years after the airing of the Christmas special.
