A RUBBISH DISAPPOINTMENT - AVOID IT!!!

This film is absolute *beep*

It meanders along to nowhere in particular and seems to have no discernable point to it or even a narrative. Most of the characters have nothing of interest to say and the camerawork is poor. The worst thing is that several scenes are pointless, some scenes end far to early and often characters don't say more when they really should.

I actually felt quite angry after I watched this film because it's annoying low-level indie rubbish like this which actually holds back the British Film Industry from succeeding internationally. Films like this have no discernable audience and so are doomed to fail even before they are made. As long as Britain keeps making rubbish films like this then we will never move on and have a strong industry which doesn't need American finance to survive all the time.

And just to really annoy me the gorgeous and talented Kate Ashfield was completely underused and was just required to play a simpering idiot to the odious character of Aiden Gillian or whatever the hell his name is. He's also a terrible actor.

This was a complete waste of time for all concerned and the only bit worth watching was the bizarre sight of Adam & Joe trundling in as if they'd walked into the wrong film!

Anyone thinking of watching this film - DON'T BOTHER!

I think its a great and simple film about life, with great acting.

Aidan Gillen won best newcomer at the Edinburgh Film Festival for his role in this film. Been nominated for a Tony and had a few Bafta nods....currently starring "The Wire" which gets nothing but praise from all critics.

Not bad for a "terrible actor". If you can make it that far as an actor....go ahead. No, thought not. You don't have a *beep* clue what you're talking about.

No wonder I'm the only one who replied....probably because no-one else has bothered reading your *beep*

Aiden Gillen IS a rubbish actor in this. He shouldn't have won best newcomer but then the judges were probably drunk. And how do you know I'm not an actor? How do you know I'm not really Orlando Bloom writing behind this name?
Well for your information you moron sukilui I'm a successful director and would never cast this guy. He mumbles along and looks bemused throughout. I DO know what I'm talking about having worked in this business for years.

Far more then you know anyway you fanboy/girl/it.

And you're the only one to reply because everyone else can tell what I think from my post title so they know how sensible I am and don't have to watch the film and waste an hour and a half watching this s hite like I had to!

It's funny you took nearly 20 days to be able to summon up the courage to take me on again - and then you lose the argument by resorting to swearing. Oh dear.

Now grow up and watch some proper films grown-up films Troy_Raleigh instead of these wanky films no-one wants to see! And changing your profile name really is pathetic. You don't escape my wrath that easily moron. lol

The Godfather and Paths of Glory might stir your little warped mind into some debate over ACTUAL good acting and ACTUAL good films!

The film is s hite and so is your precious Gillen's lack of acting ability!

Like the film he is godawful.

Hopefully he'll never act again and the director will realise he's better suited to being a binman and leave films forever because he's clueless.

Avoid this movie like the plague folks!!!

I have to say, I honestly love this film and it kills me to read that someone hates it passionately. I wish films like this got more recognition. It is hard to make a film about mundane reality so mysterious, intense, and interesting and it feels so fresh. It is one of my all-time favourites. I hope we see more special films from this director.

If you think this is a 'great movie' then I think you're the fool and also quite retarded and need to get out more. When does this movie ever turn into a 'great one' voided you self-righteous prick?

A great movie is 'Citizen Kane'. A great movie is 'Vertigo'. A great movie is 'Shawshank Redemption'. This is in NO WAY A GREAT MOVIE. Please watch better films and fill your void voided!
