Did this come out in theatres?
It definitely doesn't seem that way.
There's a lot of "commercial break" stops and the overall quality (beautiful scenery aside) screams low-budget ABC Family movie. Was it theatrically released anywhere?

No it was not released to movie theaters. It just went out directly to video. It is not a low budget ABC Family movie because if it was it would not have allowed Pamela Diaz to be topless. I loved that part of the movie! I may have to rent this movie sometime just to see Pamela's breasts! It is a shame that Natasha Henstridge did not show anything in that movie.
shareactually...i don't know if you could really say it went straight to video.
The first (and thankfully only) time i saw it was on a coast-to-coast flight where it was the in-flight movie and called Kevin of the North. I remember thinking it was terrible but then not being able to find it under that title later.
So I guess it was straight to in-flight movie.
I saw this film in the cinema in Dubai (Our main cinema in case you're wondering, or at least it was at the time).
I distinctly remember seeing this film as I went to see the film with a friend and we were the only two people at the screening.
(It had just been released too)
