Visser was a very soft Warden (SPOILERS)


He actually had an emotional connection with Hart and McNamara. He seemed to almost be crying because he was so moved in th end. If the camp had a brutal Warden then I'm sure a lot more have died and the whole trial thing probably would have never happened.

The Luftwaffe still had many romantic notions of war as fought during World War I. When camps were taken over by SS officers, there was no romanticism or honor.
