Whoever Cut Worthingtons and Brandis's scenes should be hung

Their scenes, while brief added depth to the main characters. Showing not all the white prisoners were racist ass-holes would have been nice in this film. It would have added a bit of war-time humor, which is often crued and the only relief to the terrible prison campy they are in.

Whoever cut the scenes, or had his star power influence the scene cuttings, is a twit.

That wouldn't suit the agenda of the politically correct.

reply

I've never been, very...politically correct; it is what it is.

Agreed! It would have made a nice contrast.

I've seen this film a number of times and until you raised this point I never realised Sam Worthington was actually in the film, though I know the "Australian Contingent" is referred to a couple of times.

reply

Well, at least Sam proved whoever cut the scenes to be terribly wrong. He's more successful than Hauser, Willis, and Farrell combined. Spanning continents.

Here's the scene:

"You have the right to remain silent, so shut the *beep* up!"

reply

Yeesh, maybe a different turn of phrase next time? Perhaps one that doesn't involve Jonathan Brandis and death by hanging in the same sentence?

Christ almighty...
