I was wondering...

Why would Paulo Costanzo ever consider filming the bathroom scene?

reply

Because, hello! Kett Turton is very sexy! Who would pass up a chance like that?

reply

So I'm not the only pervert that really liked that scene...I think I rewound it about 10 times. I dont find either of the guys particularly attractive, but the way they did that scene was just...awww

reply

Okay good I'm not alone. I've watched that scene.. a LOT. Clive is gorgeousss (I obsessed over Kett for about two months after seeing this}, and the looks on his face.. haha. <3

reply

Paulo actually auditioned for the Kett Turton role, so it's not like he was unaware of a gay sex scene. It wasn't particularly graphic, so get over it... and if you're offended by gay sex scenes in quasi-mainstream-indie flicks, make sure to avoid "Wet, Hot American Summer" (which was marketed in the guise of an '80s T&A flick).

reply

I was not offended by the scene - believe it or not, I actually do understand its significance. Clive was unsure of his sexuality and having that moment with Troy helped him to clarify who he was. I was just curious of Paulo's decision to play a role that would go that far.

Thank you for the clarification - you've been most enlightening TVJunkie!

Whoops! Didn't mean to come off catty there... All of the actors knew going into the film that there was going to be nudity, according to the director on the commentary. That's also where I heard that Paulo originally auditioned for Kett's role. I'm sure Paulo would've done a good job if he'd gotten the role, but I can't imagine him playing it goth...

reply

Very true - and don't worry, no harm, no foul =o). I'm very impressed with your knowledge base. How did you know that?

reply

Simply because Clive is verrrrry hot

reply

The only reason I wondered why Paulo would do this scene is when he takes off the shirt, it showed that he needs to EAT! I guess Gypsy 83 had no catering.

Heck, I'd nail Clive. But I'm a woman, so...
