I read that there were plans for a sequel called "Evolution: Continues"

I remember MANY years back like 2002-2003, there was a legit movie website called "The Z review" that told you about many upcoming movies and gave you information about it and I read that Columbia were developing a sequel to Evolution called "Evolution: Continues" and I couldn't help but wonder whether it would've led up to the events of the animated series "Alienators: Evolution continues" which was very popular at the time.

What are your thoughts? and does anyone have any information on this?
