Most memorable scene?

Hi,

Which scene did you think was most memorable, and why?

To me, it's the scene where the young girl ( I've forgottten her name, sorry about that), meets Franklin in the mall. Just before that, her father had pulled the safety pall ( I hope it's the right word) away, so she could fire right away. However, when Franklin hit's her with the cane and she wants to shoot, she automatically pulls the pall so the gun is blocked. Her mother screams something like: 'Oh god, the safety pall!'. The girl looks up to Franklin, terrified, and then he brutally beats her to death.

Now, I've seen mny things in many films, but this scene just kept racing through my head. It probably was the combination of extreme violence and the parents screaming hysterically on the background. I do have to confess I still have to watch Battle Royale, which will probably shock me more.

yeah this was one of the most shocking scenes i think i've seen in a film.
i think it's the fact that because she is a young girl you assume she will win, or at least not be killed off, but then she is and it is really brutal.

Great film though.

Mine was near the end when Jeff and Dawn are in the theater holding the people there hostage. She's on the phone and says that if she doesn't get her baby and safe passage to the border, a lot of innocent people are going to get hurt. The audience cheers her on and she turns to them and says, "That means you *beep* and they all get quiet. I just loved that.

I would have to agree, it is the scene i'd most remember from this BAAAD movie.

I think it strikes a cord with most because she is just a cute, everyday looking teenage girl, forced into this bad situation. The way she was beaten to death in front of her parents and boyfriend who could only sit there watching speechless in horror, adds to that.

Especially the way the father was yelling to release the safety.Kinda like the way a parent would yell out advice at a baseball game or something, only this was a sad, life and death situation.

The scene that stuck out for me was when tony ran off with his baby then the t.v. show twisted it all by showing footage of another car chase then telling the world he held the knife to the babys throat when it was at his own fault all the time.Just goes to show the lenghts t.v.companys will go to to get ratings

I think the begining showing the main lady(i too forgot her name) taking out all these different people. I think its the way she does it so calmly that makes me hate it..drowning a lady in a toilet, cutting that persons throat in the elevator.

I would have to second the "beating" scene, along with the old man's proclamation of "everything you believe is bullsh-t". THAT stuck with me.

The most important thing you need to know...
Is that you don't know sh!t.

I liked the scene in the mall, but i think it would have played better if was a little different. Yes the girl hits the safety...yes the old man is there and starts after her with the cane. But I would have had her get the safety of at the last second...bam...shotgun shot to the chest and the old man goes down. Instead of the parents look of horror that she's dead, they can't believe that their daughter killed someone. Then the daughter is sniped by the nurse...the parents now have to react to that! I know this removes the old man's rant about the show being a set up/not real, but that didn't really make sense in there anyway. Plus, you could have added some FX for the shotgun blast...possibly a little gore.

So what do you think?

When Lindsay was in the back seat of the car and her parents wouldn't kiss her goodbye because "there's no reason to say goodbye" and she gets all nuts and stabs her father in the arm....yeah, this is what happens to alpha moms and dads who thow their weight mindlessly behind everything their kids do. Who cares that our little girl is going to murder people and get gutted like a fish? She's gotta go out there and win win win! *shudder*
