Oliver Martinez. I've never found Richard Gere particularity attractive. Even less attractive in his younger days, actually.

shareMartinez, no doubt. I like Gere, but the film made him so one dimensional and unappealing. I felt the awkwardness for Lane, or Connie, in the tub. She was totally into Paul then and here comes dorky Edward.
Good acting by Gere, but the director and Lane deserve credit too.

Hands down Richard Gere.
Especially, the character Edward.
Devoted, faithful, romantic, etc. No contest.
Paul was a putz. He would never have been in a real relationship with Connie. He was still legally married himself and no way Connie was the first or last he would cheat with.
