funnier then 'without you i'm nothing'

though i think "without you i'm nothing" is a better film (though humor should probably be the number one criteria i'm not doing that). it's kinda not fair to compare cause "i'm still here...damn it!" is more of a real performance film and "without you i'm nothing" has a lot of editing, costume changes and other more "filmic" type things. "ISHD!" is just a recorded show. i think "WYIN" is a greater piece of performance art. before i saw "ISHD!" i considered bernard more of performance artist then a pure comedian like andy kaufman or something, just based on only seeing "WYIN".

i popped in an old tape while i was at work today (i work at a video store) of "ISHD!" which i'd never seen before (while no customers were inside) and despite some of the humor involving celebrity and technology being a little dated now 10 something years later it was very funny. "WYIN" is funny but not laugh out funny but i appreciate that one in a different way. if i want to just laugh i'd probably be more inclined to pop in "ISHD!" with more of a real audience participation i think she's funnier off the cuff. her planned material is very good but the parts i laughed hardest at the stuff she said in response to people in the crowd. and wow she looked good pregnant.
