I don't think it's that bad at all. No blood, no violence, no profanity, no nudity. Of course it's a family movie. Besides, if you ask me it's less dangerous than some other so-called children's movies available...

Exactly! And a story where a stepmother hires a woodsman to rip out the heart of her stepdaughter and bring it back to her in a box is definitely not a movie kids should be seeing! Or a movie with a character whose name is literally spelled Devil kidnapping puppies to skin them and make a fur coat would be terrible for children! Or how about a movie about a Queen who chops off the heads of people she disagrees with? None of those stories are appropriate for children! Except that those movies, in order, were Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 101 Dalmatians and Alice in Wonderland. Part of Walt Disney's genius was that he knew kids like to be scared, so he put horrific things into his movies for that little scare factor. Good always triumphed over evil and kids always knew that good ending was coming. The problems with parents today is they want to hide the truth about evil from kids and the dangers of that are entertainment the likes of Barney the Dinosaur and Teletubies. To me, that is MUCH scarier!
