What was your favorite part of the movie?

As you would guess, I wouldn't have asked that if I didn't have a favorite part to discuss. For me, the best part began when Nico went to the trailer to sleep (alone) -- the look in Nico's eyes when he realizes what is happening (Dani's arm around him) was very well done -- continuing through the argument in the shower (Nico was about to have a world-shaking experience but he was afraid to tell his best friend) -- ending with the bathroom door between them when Dani spilled out his honest emotions. They both played those scenes like seasoned professionals -- Very Well done!

You're right that was an hilarious scene but then there is so much in this film that you could miss which is why I never tire of seeing it...its a great movie.

I couldn't agree more which is why I bought the movie to release in the UK. It should be in cinemas by the end of September 2003. Keep posted on developments at wwwpprfilm.com. My other favourite scene is when Nico innocently believes that he can join in and interrupt the first steps that Dani is taking with the girl on the sofa and he tries to slip his hand up his thigh and assist Dani!! Oh to be a teenager again..

Wow. I liked it all. The actors grew on me but even from the beginning I enjoyed them because I love everything to do with Spain, and this film just seemed to galvinate this emotion I have about that country. The moment which put a cheesey grin on my face was when the two guys eventually went hunting together, and I also (like the other poster) remember most the scene in the shower when Dani tried to let Nico know how he felt (or did he, Im not very good at guessing that sort of thing) as the script and the actors delicately showed the awkwardness of the stiuation but still made the audience feel warm and loved up. I also love all the riding around on bikes and motorbikes and roofless cars and boats in the sun in a country where people care about each other.

Um you do know that this was just a movie, don't you? You see there is no Nico and Danny, okay?

Sounds like someone is quite homophobic. There are a lot of gay, lesbian, and bisexual people out there. Just so you know, it's not rare by any means.

But if you're actually talking about that it is a movie, I think everyone gets that by now. It's standard to talk about characters as people, because in some sense they are. Part of them is the actor and part is the script and direction.

There are a lot of people that go through almost exactly what Nico and Dani do in this film.

Yeah there is a guy on guy kiss.

This was made by a european filmmaker, not an american, but anyway how do you make a gay drama without having gay interaction?

i loved the whole film. but to be honest, what struck me most wasnt the romance between nico and dani, but between dani and the older Julian. i simply loved when they kissed. Does anybody have any movie recommendations like this one? you know, gay coming-of-age stories, something to make you feel happy and break your heart at the same time? thanks.

You could try "Summer Storm" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420206/

Also see Beautiful Thing.

If you like Nico and Dani, you'll definitely like Beautiful Thing.

I enjoyed this, but beautiful thing was alot better and gritty / realistic.

I loved the part when Dani left Julian's house even if they kissed and was going to make love with him because he kept thinking to his friend Nico. I loved it because I lived the same thing when I was 16-17 me too.
