GOD!!!!!!!!!!It's too crazy!!!
I wanted to see this movie because of the director,Chen Kaige.It was his first Hollywood movie,and unlike other Chinese directors,Chen Kaige's first Hollywood movie was a drama.
After seeing the movie,something left in my mind were just the sex scenes,nothing more.The sex scenes were too crazy for we Chinese,and I can't understand the movie very well.What the movie try to tell us?Meeting a stranger
in the street,and have sex on him at once,and every times meet him is just for sex;and then split up with her own boyfriend,marry him,and every time they have sex on each other,they use a very strange way...How could all this be possible???
The movie disappointed me a lot,and the time I spent on this movie is a waste of time.In a word,Chen Kaige's first Hollywood movie is such a failure!!!Even according to our Chinese opinions!!!
Actully,Chen Kaige is a good director,I hope he won't choose such a bad screenplay next time.

I guess that for money one can do anthing, this whole movie is a mistake, a monkey could direct better, the actors are terrible and the premise of the movie is childish, too bad

I was hoping this movie would be somewhat interesting. I think I was expecting too much. It was terrible, yet I was compelled not to turn it off. Heather Graham really just isn't a good actress. She's only good in certain roles, this wasn't one of them.

Well I think the movie was about trying to do something more than what you usally do in your life but in the end feeling like you're not ready to accept those things you were looking for.
That's why Heather Graham's character's says at the end that she's just a flatlander and couldn't reach those heights.

I really liked this film. It's a story about learning what are limits are and becoming self-conscious.

This movie is friggin horrible! It has to be one of the worst screenplays I have ever seen put to screen. 0 character develpment, 0 reasoning for anything that happens, and really lots of pointless crap that leads to a semi-existant non important plot. This is easily the worst movie I have seen this year (despite the Heather Graham sex) and yes I did see Gigli.

I sure as hell agree with you!!! I wasted my money purchasing the film and ended up getting a refund! I don't recommend this film to anyone unless they are perverted and get off on sex mixed with violence. I did not like Heather Graham's character, the woman she played was really stupid and niave to even stay with the guy as long as she did, and I thought the ending sucked to a point you see just how messed up the two really are! At least I am not the only one to say how disgusted I was with the film, I got the wrong impression that it was worth the watch, I got the movie to see it for the first time and I am glad I took the film back. I have to say as for the sex scenes they were the worst and most boring to see and it seems to be the same way all the time rather than a variety and more interesting!! I have seen better films I rate this one a 0/10.

You are right. I just seen it on video last week and it is horrible. I remember when this film was still on theatres, my girl wanted to see this fil but she mistook it from another film "Unfaithful", because of the similar themes. we felt sorry that day, but unfaithful was good and it was a consolation. Until last week, i felt lucky for not wasting my money watching KMS in theatres.

The chinese make the strangest softcore and hardcore in the world ! the "news bukkake" scenes of china and japan can be found on any pornsite with most hits!!!

Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?

I have the DVD. I replayed the part where they meet and she gets in his car and then they fall on the floor naked. The only thing he says to her before the sex is "What is your name?" and when she says "Alice" he says "Alice". That is all that is said before the sex. That sure would not be my fantasy for getting to know a beautiful woman like Alice.

Whose decision was it to make Adam frown so much? Is it the director? They obviously meant to make Adam a monster, or at least seem like a monster. I don't understand how a woman could be happy in a relationship with a man that frowns so much.
