Kolipoki
What, if anything, does Kolipoki actually mean?
Why did they choose that name for John?
"They who... give up... liberty to obtain... safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
I believe it would be a transliteration of his last name into Tongan. There is no G, B, or R and no consonant blends so the vowels used are the nearest substitution. Also, Tongan, if it is like Hawaiian, ends every syllable in a vowel thus Groberg becomes Kolipoki. Or something like that.
