Question about the daughter (possible spoiler)
I missed the beginning of the film on cable.
Why did the daughter want her father killed?
yah i didn't catch that at all either.
shareI'm watching the movie now, and I believe it was because the father did not give her any freedom and would not let her get a tattoo.
shareAt the beginning of the film the daughter wants to get a tattoo to be like three other girls at her school -- Ladybug, Jewelbug, and Bug Killer. She knows the place to go and price is $45 and she's going to get it. Next scene Luis Guzman is saying he can't let her do it, he loves her, but she needs to show some respect. I left the movie (on cable) and came back to it later. Didn't see where she hired the brainless thugs, but it was pretty well established that she wanted revenge on her father for messing up her social life at school.
But it seems she gave him some BLING to wear around his neck, so was she ambiguous about him -- orrrrrr -- was that the tip off for the killers of his identity? Go kill this guy as he's fishing, wearing this BLING choker.
I miss Big Band music and talented singers. Leonard Cohen is my idol. Civility, harmony, unity!
