well i know that they did the scene on jonathan tuckers 18th birthday to avoid legalities (if that is a real word? lol) so they did do at least some of it

I personally found the sex scene very short and NON explicit. Also it did look like Lucas used a body double--that didn't look like his body on Tucker. It's hard to explain but it looked "off" in a strange sort of way.

Are you guys surprised to find out that females of a wide range in age are appreciative of males together? TV, movies and even commercials are filled with g/g images, but males aren't allowed to touch each other most of the time. Of course, we seek films, too.

A great deal of fanfiction has been and is being written. Surprise! I have penfriends throughout the world who are "Slash" fans.

I haven't seen this film~yet. I do plan on watching for it on the movie channels. My curiosity is piqued.

Bion [believe it or not], in the book, the character of Tilda doesn't have a grown up son but a grown up DAUGHTER. Someone changed it, oh well. I didn't quite like this film but I like the ff lines exchanged between mother and son:

Mother: It's not what you think.
Beau: ...How do you know what I think?

It's actually very explicit. It lasts for about a minute, as the other posters said, and contains graphic footage of Jonathan Tucker fellating Josh Lucas (I'm pretty sure they used a body double, though).

If gay sex makes you uncomfortable, I'd suggest you skip that part.

You must've seen a different movie than the one I just watched, because I saw no such thing. The sex scene was explicit, yes, but there was no fellatio involved -- it was an entirely different act altogether. And it was much less than one minute long, maybe a few seconds at best.

The young guy looked drugged in that scene to me. Also, "fishermen snagging the body on a hook" seemed to happen very quickly, as if it was a setup.

I watched this last night.

Then listened to directors' commentary.

Two very interesting things about the sex scene -

1) Josh Lucas had only arrived on the set the day before, so he barely had arrived, no real chance to get to know his costar, then he had to do that scene.

2) Film makers had to wait to shoot that scene til halfway through the movie as only then did Tucker reach his 18th bday. And filming such a scene, I'm assuming, isn't legal til he's that age. They filmed it the day after he turned 18.

I agree with another poster in another thread. Them in bed didn't have to be shown. We all knew the gist of what was on that tape.

.... On video tape. The film is actually very good and actually watchable. Tilda is a joy as always. Jonathan is very hot. And Josh is equally hot.
