Did Nelvana buy Cardcaptor Sakura

I was just wondering did Nelvana buy Cardcaptor Sakura off Clamp so they could use it as Cardcaptors. This might seem like a really stupid question and the answer might be an obvious yes.

More than likely they bought it from NHK Enterprises not CLAMP Directly.
