The ridiculous 'fun fun fun in the sun sun sun' song

Anyone know what this song is? It has to the most hilariously vacant pop song I've ever heard. It plays briefly one or two times in the film, I seem to remember it playing around the part where Scooby's brother and his girlfriend are asking Paul Giamatti's character why he drives such a *beep* car. Haven't seen this in awhile so I'm not sure though, and I can't find a clip of it on youtube.

I think its one of the songs that movie makers don't have to pay fro, generic movie songs. I heard the same song in Ghost World. They're in this fifties diner and all of the songs seem to be generic and mocking real mainstream music. This ones like a pop song, they have a rap song etc

I think it's funny how the blonde brother always imply Scooby is gay, and keeps listening to that incredible gay song, LOL

It's actually called "Gonna Have Fun" by The Sirens

The song was written for the film. It acts as a commentary about the naivety, stupidity and oblivion of being a teenager. Its probably the funniest thing in the film. Love it.

Yeah, so funny. Had to find it! After much googling, I found a full quality stream of it here: http://songs.musicsales.com/results.asp?pgassts=77&srch=1 (It's the sixth 6th entry down.)

I jacked the audio from there and converted it into a high quality mp3, which you can download here:

It most definitely was a stock, generic song intended for usage in horrible made-for-tv Disney/Nickelodeon movies with zero budget to license the actual boy/girl band pop songs that were so popular back at the turn of the millenium.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that this throwaway "song" is featured in both "Ghost World" and "Storytelling"!!! Big ups to the music people behind both films. First, to the Ghost World ppl for discovering this brilliant piece of crap. And second, to the Storytelling ppl for carrying on lineage! Dark, dry indie humor at it's finest.

Brilliant. Thanks cameronalevy.

I think that one noticeable similarity exists between that stupid song and the music in Dark Horse that Abe listens to. Even the wallpaper in Brady's room also looks somewhat similar the one in Abe's.
