Uncut version with James Van Der Beek? 3rd story. Any person own it?

Would love to see the full version. If you have it, let me know and we can work something out. Thanks.

It's been ten years now since this film came out, and I can't think of a better one for Criterion to get the rights to and finally release Solondz's original version...

Not that I wouldn't buy a bootleg in the meantime because, well... I love bootlegs!

Criterion should definitely release this. they already came out with Life During Wartime. anyway, is there even a script with the third story in it? I read the script online, but there's no third story there

James Van Der Beek told Bret Easton Ellis on his podcast that he was told that Todd Solondz planned to burn the negative of the original version.

I had heard this before, but the version I heard was that Van Der Beek's agent/manager paid Solondz off to do it. Not so. According to Van Der Beek, Solondz simply decided it didn't work, and never wanted anyone else to see it in its original form.

Too bad. I'd be curious as hell to watch it. James Van Der Beek claims it was his best performance in a movie.
