Drug use?

What drug use? O_o

I've seen the movie 3 times. Twice movie and once with the commentary on. I do recall, however, Harry Sinclair(ze great director) saying how this movie was like a drug for the druggies who couldn't afford drugs...

...or something to that extent.

But really. o_O What drugs? Yes. Nudity and sensuality. But drugs? I know there's alcohol...but...drugs?! Am I totally spazzing? @__@

There was one scene with Drosophila and Lucinda were smoking ("I always take that corner too fast") but I don't think it's pot...Hmm, I don't know.

You guys do not seem to be very familiar with drugs ;-)

There are three scenes where characters are smoking "cigarettes" that have the distinct look of a joint. The actors may not really use drugs but the hand-rolled look, the cardboard filter and the way the actresses mimic to smoke it, by inhaling deeply and keeping the smoke into the lungs much longer than cigarette smokers do, is very subjective and thus gave the movie its rating.

Some drugs like marijuana (the drug used in the film) are hallucinogenic. The film has a lot of scenes that are like hallucinations, in that they follow dream-logic and magical things happen.

So Harry meant that if you wanted to experience hallucinations but didn't have any weed, you could just watch the movie instead.

The reason my friends and I ended up watching this movie was because of a quote on the back cover from some reviewer, who was commenting that this move was like "The Princess Bride" on acid.
We found this statement to be very true.

Wow, I've never heard that comment before! What a perfect quip.
