1.6 million?

So I just went to a showing/seminar by the writer and director of this film. He mentioned that the film was done with a 1.6 million film. While this film does have its flaws, for what it did, I expected a much larger budget. Also interesting, I found out that this was his first script, and that Cassius Fry, whom the film is dedicated to (see the end credits), is actually a dog, and not a child who died at a young age.

What did you just say?

Aside from the obvious Video look of the film, the work done was really rather impressive--too bad the story suffers (mind you the dialog isn't terrible--just the plot)--but I reckon that was due to budgetary contraints as well--but for God's sake if that's all you can do with 1.6 mil then we are in trouuuuuble---For much better use of funds, see Paranormal Activity---very little invested--very much gained--that Peli dude made fortune 500 this year.
