Soundtrack


I really enjoyed this film, but as someone who was around Billy's age at that time, one thing sticks out like a sore thumb for me:

Why, if it's set in 1984 during the Miner's Strike is the music predominantly 1970's?

There's a few of T-Rex's tracks from about 1973, but absolutely nothing from the 80's. Being the age Billy was - he would have been into the music of the time. There should have been some Duran Duran, U2, Frankie Goes to Hollywood etc. So many good songs from that era could have described the situation better, and could have given a much more accurate tone for the film.

That's an excellent question. I guess they just liked the 70's music better.
