Dissapointing, very dissapointing

This movie has a fair amount of violence, nothing horribly disturbing, certainly nothing worse than what you see on CSI or other programs fit for american TV. I don't mind blood and violence, but very poor special effects bother me when I am trying to be moved by the story line. If you are going to do a low budget movie, you have to focus on different aspects of the story, such as the relationships between the characters. Low budget films and blood effects almost never work out unless the film is supposed to be comical, something Baise Moi is not. I suppose some people will be able to look past the lame special effects. If you are one of those people, don't let this review keep you from watching Baise Moi.

This movie has lots of sex. Sex doesn't bother me, not even full penetration shots as were shown in this film. However, if someone had told me before watching this that it was a French porno, I would be none the wiser. The combination of copious amounts of sex and poor video quality, along with bad acting and bad effects makes it look very much like a porno film.

There was nothing incredibly disturbing or shocking about this film. You probably have seen more shocking violence on network television, and had more exciting experiences in the bedroom. I may have been a little desensitized from watching both Ichi, the Killer and Irreversible before this, but I didn't really see anything incredibly moving about this film.
