Degrading to women

Hilarious! The so-called feminists that made this feminist film exposed their true motives by showing scenes of women sucking mens penises and close-up intercourse. how dumb are people to believe this is necessary, to make any kind of a point. Was there a close-up shot of a penis entering an orifice in the film "Irreversible?" no, and that film was a million times more powerful than this cheap porno. The film makers tried to cover up their lack of talent with hardcore shots of penetration. They know the media, and they were aware that including these penetration and graphic nude shots would ensure alot of controversy, and alot of financial profit! And they were right. Do you think that this home movie would have gotten a bit of attention without those scenes? It is amazing how easily people are fooled, lol!!! At least these women were good at pimping their product, because they sure knew nothing about how to make a film.

Penetration isn't necessary for sex? The closeups were kind of lame though, since it usually means a stand-in is being used, which is an indicator that you are unfortunately not watching porn.

reply

No, there were no stand-ins/body doubles used. The "actresses" were porn performers to begin with, and porno stars don't use body doubles..

Plus Despentes actually uses the aesthetics of conventional pornography. So I don't se anything in it but titilation. It's interesting that in an interview Andersson said she complained to Despentes about having to do hardcore porn to which the director replied that she should work in a call centre for next to nothing if she didn't like it. I think that is quite revealing. It is also interesting that Despentes took quite a few very powerful non-pornographic scenes from Michael Winner's Dirty Weekend which has a similar topic.

What about the fact that even though we are somewhat supposed to understand the two female protagonists in the film and sympathize with them after certain horrible things they went through, they also killed a certain amount of people that didn't really deserve to die? Is that also what makes this film degrading to women?

The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!
