Wait, so is Season 1 (edited) a collectors item?

Like many I really, really don't care for the edited version of Yu-Gi-Oh, but at one point I found it amusing. I was cleaning my room the other day and found a copy of the Season 1 set from 2004, it's in great condition complete with the tin and cardboard slip. I was a little surprised I owned it and decided I should probobly sell it since I'm currently ill-fatedly looking for a job and need money. Despite the $70-$80 pricetag it originally had, I wasn't sure how much I'd get for it. But, I looked on Amazon and E-bay and it's OOP, despite the recent releases of Seasons 2 & 3, and the prices are either just bearly under or over $100. Despite being the crappy version of the show is the set now a collectors item of sorts? I still want to sell but upon learning of this I'm both a tad reluctant and a little excited to sell because it's not under it's original value. Should I sell?

One other q, was the tin always part of the first season DVD or was it removed after the first wave?
