Just gotta say, the English versions of every single last Anime sucks balls. If you've watched any Anime in subtitle version, and then watch the English version, you could see how off point every statement in the English version really is. Everything the characters say is completely off if you know Anime style. Its soo stupid that I can't even enjoy this show.

I almost exclusively watch subs but to say all dubs suck? No, and I'm tired of seeing that subtitle elitist attitude. I'd agree if this was still the 80s or early 90s, but since the turn of the millennium it seems dubs have been only improving in both quality and faithful translations.

I can't find any that remain true in translation. This particular one, Yugioh, is a complete disaster. Its almost like they completely re-wrote everything...and I haven't even seen the original sub'd versions. I can tell by the way the characters move and the expressions they are given that the words being spoken are total BS.

Well I don't know which show you saw, or why you couldn't simply express your viewpoint intellectually without resorting to insults and cursing, but the English version was horrible. It was completely more than obvious that the English version was out of sync with what was really going on. If you're offended by me calling that out then maybe you should realize that I am expressing how I feel about it. And if you can't make an intelligent reply then I prefer it if you didn't reply back at all.

The english versions of japanese shows like DBZ, monster rancher, Rave master, duel masters, dragon ball, shaman king, sonic x, yu gi oh gx, megaman nt warrior and the pokemon diamond and pearl anime series are terrible
The only english versions of japanese shows that i support are pokemon, digimon, DBZKai and yu-gi-oh!
Yugioh, is a complete disaster.
Most people that say the dubs suck are dead-set on hating it before the even watch it because they prefer to experience it as it should be. They just prefer to hear the Japanese dialogue and have the correct titles (kun, chan, sama, sempai, etc) in the characters names. They also don't like the modifications or American culture or the cuts made and occasional english names given to the characters. Dub haters just don't like these minor changes cause they're so nit-picky about it. That doesn't make the dubs bad or stupid. However, there are some animes that do have very bad dubbing, I'll give you that? Ever see the dub of Angel Sanctuary, now THAT was bad dubbing. Some dubbings are even better than the Japanese, like DBZ.
Me personally, I tend to prefer the dubbed versions because, even though certain things here and there are changed, I don't like having to read the subtitles, it breaks the atmosphere (I guess you would say), and makes me very aware that I'm watching something rather than experiencing it. Ah, I don't think I worded that right, but you get what I mean. Having to read the subs are a distraction that I don't want.
