Was this a Budget film or somethng =?

I was just browsing my channel list on Direct TV when I noticed this film will be on later.... Curious as to why it has a 4 hour run time on ION (a local channel) I decided to check up here on IMDB.... I didn't get much for answers lol...

I've never heard of this film.... Was it in theaters at one point, or is this some crappy network TV budget film? Worth watching for fantasy lovers?

It's a made-for-TV movie.

It's somewhat entertaining, though it seems a bit geared towards younger children.

When channel surfing I stopped at this movie on Ion. I missed the first fifteen minutes, but thoroughly enjoyed the next 225 minutes!! Scenery, music, costumes and actors - all great. And, I disagree with the statement, '. . . geared towards younger children.' I believe this is a movie for all ages.
