How did Bowser come back in this one?

Mario and Luigi killed him off in the original game by dropping him in the lava, but it is never explained how he was brought back or resurrected in this one. Super Mario Bros. 2 had nothing to do with Bowser. After you complete World 7, you get an unexpected message from Bowser and he tells you that he kidnapped the Princess and how he dares you to try and get her back. Though it was a great way to bring back Mario and Luigi's most popular nemesis, he should've stayed dead after the original. You also kill him off in 3, but then he shows up again in Super Mario World A.K.A Super Mario Bros. 4. without any explanation as to how he rose from the dead.

My post hurt your brain, yet you actually took the time to read the entire post. All I was asking for is a little bit of a story behind his resurrection, but never mind. People always have to be a smart-ass.

I wouldn't be so sure if the whole "too hard" thing was the biggest issue, because Nintendo is a creative company, and SMB one of the most original games of all time, and probably the greatest game of its time. And I've always thought Lost Levels was too similar to SMB. Infact, I hardly notice any difference. It's like the exact same game, only with different levels and *beep*

I hardly consider that to be a true sequel to any game. SMB3 is a true sequel. SMB2, although a format taken entirely from another game, makes for a better sequel than does the format of LL, which is identical to that of SMB.

Bowser has proved time and time again lava can not kill him. For freak sake's, his entire residence is a lava world... and he BREATHES FIRE!

reply

Maybe his scales are fireproof. Besides, if you don't warp, he falls in the lava EIGHT times! Why would the eighth time be different from the other seven? The only reason the game ends is not bacuse King Koopa dies, but becuase Princess Toadstool (before she legally chnaged her name to Peach) has been found and rescued.
