Judging from the movie he really did seem to like Laurie, he was brainwashed by Michele into hating her, well that is just my insight. Anybody think Butch liked Laurie deep down?

In real life I highly doubt it although I bet he has some remorse, but I think they made it out that way in the beginning, but ultimately he just wanted to have sex with her.
